Nagaland  And  Beyond

 India,
home of the game of Polo, boasts a recorded history
dating back to the 15th century BC.

   This Asian sub-continent is bordered on the North by the Himalayas
the highest mountains in the world;
the Arabian Sea on the West;
the Indian Ocean on the South;
and the Bay of Bengal on the East.

   In today's India there exists a complex mix of richly diverse racial backgrounds as well as geographically, economically and socially isolated regions.

  • Did you know that there are more than 1,652 mother tongues or languages, 33 of which are spoken by more than 100,000 and another 15 by more than a million?

   These languages and peoples challenge the church.

  • Did you know that there are no Seventh-Day Adventists in most of the mother tongues/languages?

  • Did you know that there is very little literature in the major languages and absolutely nothing at all in the others?

Both are true.

   For example, where we live is in a region called Manipur and Nagaland located in the Northeast part of India.  More than two-thirds of the population consists of the people called Meitei who occupy the valley region and have a relatively high level of education.  They are Hindu by faith.  The rest of the population live in the hilly regions. These inhabitants are the Nagas and the various sub-tribes of Mizo who do not have a high level of formal education, they are predominantly Christian. Agriculture, the prime occupation of the Naga's and the sub-tribes of Mizo, in almost all cases does not reach the subsistence level.  Monsoon rain is the deciding factor in the agriculture.  In this economically challenged and isolated region called Manipur and Nagaland there are 29 different tribes recognized by the Indian Government, each of which speak a different Tibeto-Burman dialect.

   Another major challenge in India is that more than 2,000 congregations have no place in which to worship.

   Through house-to-house visitation and Bible Study meetings by local leaders as well as by Pastors, growth is being achieved by our Master's grace and power. The ACTS 2000 meetings were translated into eight languages, and the video tapes are circulating far beyond the satellite sites! ~ Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

   ADRA,  ASi,  LAMB,  Amazing Facts, LMN Publishing International-India, Maranatha Volunteers International and TAGnet are becoming increasingly very active and effective in India.  Most of the Global Mission Pioneers and The Quiet Hour volunteers are under 30 years of age.  More than 100,000 students are enrolled in 221 Adventist schools.   Gospel Outreach is also a much loved co-laborer with us in our effort to reach each and every person, kindred group and tongue in India and beyond with the Good News of Jesus and His soon return!

    In our humble effort to assist the Holy Spirit in the building up of the Kingdom of God we are starting right where we are.  In Manipur~Nagaland.  In the Northeast part of the country of India.

This is the meaning of our theme ~

Are eternally grateful to these and other organizations for
helping us reach precious souls for Jesus.

We have the freedom

  •

We have the open doors

  •

We need  the resources to fully accomplish
the mission that Jesus has given us.

Will you please, starting right where you are,
prayerfully consider co-laboring with us
in presenting the Truth as it is in Jesus,
the Remnant Truth?

To every tongue spoken in India?

In addition to your prayers, here is    How To Help!

    From the early time of the remnant Church’s worldwide movement until today, Church believers and leaders alike, especially from those advanced countries of the West and recently of the Far East, have played a decisive role in bringing about many changes among people like us. Knowing the higher power driving the concerned in these last days and in keeping with all the various and stringent endeavors within our rapidly growing Church, we have taken this step in an attempt to give deeper understanding of our more unfortunate believer's  socio-economic situation so that sympathizers, empathizers and those committed in our Savior's Gospel commission can focus their attention according to their own personal priorities.

    Acknowledging the fact that unless we reach out to you, the voice of the poorest poor and underprivileged believers will not be heard. For in most cases, for most people, it is time consuming to identify, out of all the websites, the “most” needy. We realize, of course, that there are spiritually and physically needy human beings everywhere.  But as you view these pages it is our hope that you will begin to know and understand that the case is much more so in this far flung, geographically land-locked and remote northeast area of India.

    Thus,  "As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men especially unto them who are of the same household of faith"  Ellen G. White,  Welfare Ministry page 178.   So also "…our love for God is to be expressed in doing good to the needy and suffering of faith  whose necessities comes to our knowledge and require our care."  Ellen G. White,  Testimonies for the Church volume 6 page 271.
